Congratulations to Paul and Kim Boyajian

We welcome the birth of Liam Alexander Boyajian to Paul and Kim.  Liam was 
born 8 lbs, 9 oz on Friday, October 14th  at 9:47 AM.  He had a full head 
of hair and the look of a soon-to-be grappler.



Recently Promoted

Mr. Sell was recently promoted to the rank of Black Belt in the system of 
Doce Pares Escrima.  Mr. Sell has been a student of the Filipino Martial 
Arts for the past 16 years, and recently tested under Guro Tom Sipin and 
Guro Kelii Sipin of Four Winds Martial Arts.

Nov-4 & 5-2005
Martial Arts Seminar with Sifu Rick Faye - Northshore Academy

Rick Faye, a Senior Instructor under Guro Dan Inosanto, is one of our 
primary instructors, and offers a wealth of insight into the arts of JKD, 
Kali, Thai Boxing, Silat, Pekiti Tirsia, Combat Submission Wrestling, and 
Brazilian Jiujitsu.  Rick is also one of the most sought after resources 
for the Filipino art of Panantukan.  Students are encouraged to attend this 
seminar.

The event will be held at the Northshore Academy, located (near 6 Flags 
Great America) at 1421 W. Peterson, Libertyville, IL.  Sessions will run 
from 4 - 9 PM on Friday and from 10 AM - 4 PM on Saturday.  Cost for the 
seminar is $119 in advance and $139 at the door, the Pre-registration 
deadline is October 27, 2005.  Individual sessions will be $35 in advance 
and $45 at the door.  Students can register by contacting Marc Halleck at:

Our regular Saturday classes will be canceled for this event.

New Saturday Class Schedule Starts this Weekend

Starting this weekend, our regular Saturday class schedule will be as follows:

11 AM - Brazilian Jiujitsu
1 PM - Kali/Filipino Martial Arts
2:30 PM - Letha Yoga/Bodyworks Program



Nov-24-2005
No Classes on Thanksgiving Day

Due to the holiday there will be no classes on Thursday, November 24, 
2005.  Have a safe and healthy holiday.



Nov-30-2005
New Wednesday Workshop Topic: JKD Kickboxing

Starting Wednesday, November 30th, the focus of our Wednesday Workshops 
will be JKD Kickboxing.  In these classes we will be training highly 
interactive focus mitt and trapping drills. Students will develop their 
striking and footwork skills over the next six weeks.

Students interested in participating will need a set of focus mitts, bag 
gloves and a mouthguard.  We are offering sale prices on this equipment 
starting Nov. 15th.

Our next Wednesday Workshop topic will be Competition Stickfighting, as our 
fighters gear up for the US Nationals in February of 2006.  This topic 
starts Wednesday, January 11th 2006.



Special Thanks

Sage Arts would like to thank Chad Kopenski and the Rufus King IB Theater 
students for their warm reception this week.  We returned this semester to 
teach a 3-day long Yoga and Martial Arts workshop for 2 different classes 
at Rufus King high school. We look forward to working with these talented 
students in the future.

Mr. Sell has launched an updated portfolio for his artwork.  He has worked 
as a freelance web designer, fine artist and illustrator for many
