Family Education Series:
"Strengthening Families Together"
Strengthing Families Together is a ten week series which provides
information about mental illnesses for families who have a member
living with schizophrenia, bi-polar illness, major depression, or
obsessive compulsive disorder.
It is a series of ten weekly sessions, the first all-Canadian
program of its kind in Canada. With generous funding from Astra
Zenica Canada, the Schizophrenia Society of Canada developed,
produced and piloted the program, and it is now ready to be
delivered to families who are coping with a serious mental illness.
We’re very pleased to offer the 10-week series in four locations in
Nova Scotia this year: Springhill, Antigonish, Truro and Kentville.
