Raymond, his mothers hope.

Was born in the day of coal steamers

Where coal was king and the lively hood

It was a rough setting for a tough life.

But Raymond was tough enough

To survive the misfortune of being misunderstood

He was probably round the horn of good hope

He was granted a golden age not so many years ago

A gentler passage of time for, Gold Ray

Time of dignity with indignities remembered

His heart was showing proud

Proud of his grace in this golden age
